This is important in order to stop getting incompatibility issues in custom ROMs (mostly Open Devices) where changing the slots boots the device with old firmwares or renders it unbootable due to bootloader bugs.

In this case, the Kumano platform has TOTAL incompatibility
between the 55.0 and 55.1 releases regarding the sensors firmware.
